Arsenal - Melvin

Arsenal was founded in Brussels (1999) by Hendrik Willemyns and John Roan who forced their way into various dj-sets with their EP release.

The band released their first album, Oyebo Soul, in 2003. The album contains track A Volta, which was featured in the American television series Six Feet Under. Oyebo Soul led to follow-up Outsides (2005), featuring the collaborative talents of Aaron Perrino, Gabriel Rios, and Chi Zang. Outsides, and its subsequent live shows, won the band more fans, and Arsenal were voted best live band at the Rock Werchter Festival. In 2008 they continued their winning streak with album number three, Lotuk.

Fourth album Lokemo will be released on April 11. With the help of people like Johnny Whitney (Blood Brothers, Jaguar Love), Mélanie Pain (Nouvelle Vague), Shawn Smith (Brad, Satchel, Pigeonhead), Mike Ladd, Ken Andrews (Failure) and local underground act Depotax, Arsenal plan to turn Lokemo into an album with teeth.

First bite is Melvin (released on March 20).
